ORR athletes took the rolling hills of Branson, Mo this past weekend. Congratulations to Raul Luzardo, Mike Young, Rafe Mercado and Marcos Omelanczuk on their finish! Raul had a 37:41 swim, 3:07:13 bike and 1:45:53 run finishing in 5:36:52. Mike had a super fast swim in 32:44, bike in 3:09:14 and 1:54:02 run hitting the line in 5:42:39. Rafe did a swim of 42:54, bike 3:46:39 and gutted out a 2:40:39 run for a time of 7:21:59. Marcos rounds out this quartet with a swim of 37:00, bike 3:08:21 and run 1:51:52 with a finish of 5:44:15.

Congratulations to Liz Baugher on her 1st Overall Female at the One Run 5K in College Station this past weekend. Liz ran 19:10, or 6:10 min/mile pace smoking the competition!!! Excellent job! Next up for Liz, is the Houston Triathlon!

Congrats to ORR athletes at the Redman half ironman in Oklahoma. Erin Carey finished 3rd in the 25-29AG with a BIG PR at 5:24. Manuel Cabrera also set a PR with a 5:09. Rick Wilson finished with a PR in 5:52! Jarrett Hubert battled some struggles on the run and finished in 5:02. Way to go, athletes!!

Richard strikes again!! Congrats to Richard Tramm for finishing First in the Men’s 40-49AG at the Casa Superhero 5K this past weekend. Way to run, Richard!

Congratulations to Coach Matt Hemberger for finishing First Overall at the Possum Kingdom Sprint Triathlon this past weekend. With a 500M swim, 17 mile bike and 5 mile run Matt blew past the competition with a 7:58 swim, 46:16 bike and 30:49 run tapping the line at 1:28:32. Matt also had the second fastest swim and bike of the day!!!! Very impressive, Matt. Great job!!

Possum Kingdom Sprint Tri

A HUGE congratulations to Coach Ana Lemus for her fantastic win at Prairieman Aquakebike!! Ana finished in 3:31:40 securing 1st Place Overall Female!!!! Outstanding Ana!!! For full race results visit mychiptime.com.

Congratulations to Mandy Heintz for winning the Cat 4 Women’s race at Chappel Hill! Kathy Garrett finished strong with the second pack in 12th place with over 35 riders! Mandy also won King of the Mountain! Excellent riding ladies!!!

ORR athletes pulled in some hardware at the Houston Oaks Triathlon this past weekend. A big congratulations to Andrew Cashion for finishing 2nd overall (1st in the 25-29AG) Matthew Perches won the 15-19AG and Tate Wright won the 40-44AG! Chris Nichols had a great race as well. The 0.5 kilometer swim, 21 mile bike and 8K run appeared to be a piece of cake for these participants. Andrew mastered the swim in 9:58, bike 50:51 and run 28:25 finishing 1:30:27!!! Matthew killed in the swim 9:25, bike 57:56 and run 30:53 allowing him a 1:39:44 finish. Tate rocked the swim in 9:49, bike 55:46 and run 31:12 winning his AG in 1:38:59. Chris hammered out 11:18 swim, 1:03:13 bike and 35:17 run hitting the line for a 1:52:54 finish. Great job guys!!! Way to race!

Congrats to Todd Teren for a 13th place Age Group M 25-29 finish at World’s 70.3 in Las Vegas!!! The brutal heat didn’t keep this current-Calgary resident from a gutsy performance straight to the line. Todd had a swim of 27:18, bike 2:32:18 and run 1:36:40 with an impressive 4:42:17 finish time!!!! Well done, Todd!!!!

Congratulations to Shannon Butkus. Shannon raced Ireland 70.3 in the city of Galway. What started as a typical bitter morning in Ireland was added to by the choppy waters. Event organizers shortened the swim for athletes safety. Shannon pressed on with a 49:59 swim, 4:12:12 bike and 2:44:57 run crossing the finish in 8:04:20!!! Great job, Shannon!
