Scott obtained his professional triathlon racing license in June of 2013. He plans to race Olympic and Half Ironman distance events for the remainder of 2013. His background has been in running, with his current strength in both cycling and running. He competed in cross country and track for Cinco Ranch High school where he earned varsity spots his junior and senior years. While in high school, Scott competed in the High School State Championship Triathlon all 4 years where he was the runner up in 2007 and the winner in 2008. After high school, Scott enrolled at Texas A&M University to become an engineer and joined the triathlon club there. While at A&M, Scott helped A&M place top-5 in the overall team division at the collegiate national championship for two years in a row. Scott also likes competing in cycling events where he earned his cat 3 license in 2012. Scott has been coached by Michelle LeBlanc since 2012 and currently races for ORR as well as the Shama Cycles Team.
