With more than 27,000 entrants in the San Antonio Marathon and Half Marathon this past weekend, OutRival Racing runner, Christi Moore, rocked and rolled this race finishing in an official 1:53:22. Christi actually ran about 4 minutes faster than this, but more than half of the field was held up by a passing train! This was Christi's first Half Marathon experience, although she has completed full Marathons in the past. Christi is getting ready the New Orleans Full Marathon next February.
Christi was encouraged during this race by the other runners. In Christi's own words: "I ran the end of a race today with a guy that had his leg amputated. He ran with a prosthetic device. When I wanted to walk the hills, I pushed thru using him as inspiration. When we crossed the finish, he turned to me and said "I've never run that far
before." I said, "I have--but never with someone as awesome as you!" It's pure joy to see a fellow runner with more to overcome than most, cross that finish line. AMAZING!"

- This event benefits the Susan G. Komen Run for the Cure Foundation.

- Austin’s Scott MacPherson finished first overall in the half-marathon in 1:04.
- Edward Tabut of Kenya crossed the finish line in 2:17:04 to win the marathon.
- This year, the marathon added a 2 person relay to it's half marathon event.
- The start was moved to the corner of the Alamo and Market Street for 2010.
