Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas
The 2013 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas was an incredible event for athletes, volunteers, and supporters from all over the world. It is an absolute pleasure to have this event right here in our backyard for the third year in a row! This year’s race turned out to be the most challenging IRONMAN Texas to date due to the high temperatures (low 90s with some heat index claims in triple digits), high humidity (above 90%!) and moderate winds. We are so proud of every athlete who gave it their all on May 18th no matter what their outcome was! OutRival Racing is especially proud of the 63 athletes that gave it their all at IRONMAN TEXAS! 24 men and women heard Mike Reilly call their name and “YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!!” for the first time. Even with the conditions several athletes had personal bests. Additionally, 4 athletes reached the podium and 3 were Kona Qualifiers! A huge Thank You to the IRONMAN Texas Race Management, volunteers, and ORR supporters! You all made the day very special. No one starts an IRONMAN alone… much less finishes one. Congrats on an incredible accomplishment!
