IRONMAN Florida

At 71-years-of-age, Chris Gause attempted to once again become the oldest female finisher at an IRONMAN in the contiguous US. She tackled the choppy Gulf of Mexico, swimming 2.4 miles in an hour and 48 minutes. She then biked 112 miles in 7 hours and 36 minutes, and then persevered over 19 miles of the marathon at 16-min/mile pace! Chris unfortunately suffered from nutritional issues and pulled out of the race at mile 19. Chris didn’t quite reach her goal on this one, but rest-assured, this young-at-heart athlete gave it her all and will keep on keepin’ on.

Lincoln Goodwin finished his first IRONMAN at Florida in 15 hours and 39 minutes! He swam 1:31, biked 7:11 and ran 6:06.

John Kilburn set a huge personal best in 10 hours and 10 minutes. Swim 1:02, bike 5:02, and run 3:52.

Coach Wendy Hammerman struggled with some cramping throughout the day, but pushed through to the end with a strong finish of 12 hours and 34 minutes.

Way to go ORR!
