Upstate-NY Open Water Swim Skills Clinic

It has been a long winter in the pool, and now it's time to get back into the open water. No matter how many triathlons you have done, there is always a learning curve to getting back to swimming without the black line. Join USA Triathlon Level 2 Coach and OutRival Racing Triathlon Coach Reem Jishi, for this hands-on open water swim skills clinic. This clinic is open to, and appropriate for, swimmers of all experiences. Enrollment is limited to 15 athletes.

This clinic will focus on:

  • getting (re)acquainted with the open water
  • sighting and turns, swimming in crowds - how to handle being swum over
  • taking advantage of other swimmers
  • race starts and exits
  • swim to bike transitions
  • how to approach the open water swim on race day
