Liz Baugher

Growing up, Liz played soccer, swam, and ran track. Liz was a sprinter on the track team, did short races on swim team, and never really thought about endurance sports. Once she got to college, Liz joined the Penn State Club Cross Country Team. The first year on the team was the hardest thing she had ever done! Running 4 miles was painful. Now, Liz loves endurance sports! Liz had always wanted to give triathlon a try but never had the money to buy a bike. Once she moved to Texas she joined the Aggie triathlon team in 2010 and decided to give it a go. She did her first race on a Specialized Dolce road bike, no clips, and no aero bars, but had a blast! She was hooked from then out. It has only been 2 years since she first got into the sport, but she admits that, "Triathlon is my life and I hope to learn and grow in the sport, as well as inspire those around me." Liz also teaches a variety of bootcamp classes, triathlon training programs, and group fitness classes (ACE PT certification, Schwinn Cycle, USA Cycling level 3). Liz is a well-rounded athlete, but her dedication and self-motivation is what leads her to be the best athlete she can be.
