Healthy Youth Needs Volunteers!

 
Looking for a way to join in the fight against childhood obesity?  Healthy Youth is currently looking for mentors who would enjoy working with middle school aged students at Moorhead Junior High. These kids  sign up for a 10- 12 week 5K training program. Our training takes place at the Moorhead track on Monday evenings, Feb 25 - May 6.  Our goal race is the Conroe YMCA Trail Run on Saturday, May 11.
 
This program has been set up to provide at-risk kids a chance to learn about a healthy lifestyle and its benefits from local healthy, active adults.  The kids are generally obese, at-risk for obesity, or just do not understand about the benefits of healthy living. For more information, please contact Cassandra Mays at .  (there is only one "Y" in that address.)

Benes Family Takes Points In Fredericksburg

Congratulations to Coach Grace Benes and Mike Benes. They participated in the Texas State Championship Cyclocross. Gracie raced in the Cat 4 placing 7th and Age Group 19-29F  finishing 5th. Mike raced Cat 3 placing 3rd therefore, landing him 3rd in the Texas Cup Point Series and in the 30+M AG placing 8th. Great racing from the Benes family!!!
