Tour of New Braunfels: Clint Hankla and Terry Garrett
Clint Hankla and Terry Garrett kicked off the cycling race season at Tour of New Braunfels this last weekend. Cat 5 racer, Terry Garrett, accomplished his race goal by finishing with the second pack. Clint, who is currently racing as a Cat 3 cyclist, earned some upgrade points with his 5th place finish in Saturday's very windy crit at Canyon Lake. He followed that up with a great showing Sunday at the San Marcos 60 mile road
race with a top 20 finish (in a field of more than 90 racers), coming in 16th!Way to bike guys!

Bill Crews Remission Run 5K
The Bill Crews Remission Run 5K is a great event for great cause. Local resident and athlete, Bill Crews, is in remission from lymphoma. The mission of this run is to raise awareness about lymphoma and other cancers and to promote health and fitness in families. The goal is to help fund research and cure cancers. Several ORR athletes ran in the 5K run and had spectacular races!
finished fourth overall and third in the competitive 25-29 AG with a time of 17:31, or 5:39 min/mile pace! and raced in the 40-44 AG and finished very close together. Lori (who is coming back from breaking her neck, literally!) ran 30:25 and Stacy ran 30:36. That's a PR for Stacy!
finished first place in the 40-44 AG with a time of 19:46, or 6:23 min/mile pace! alsofinished first in the 50-54AG with a time of 22:44, or 7:20 min/mile pace. finished third in the 30-34AG, and finished 2nd in the 70+ women's division!! Corey ran 22:02, and Chris ran a PR 35:26. Way to run everyone!
