Bio: Todd grew up competing in swimming, cross country, and track & field from a young age. In college Todd focused on running competing in cross country and long distance track (5k/10k). Todd first got involved in triathlon when a friend asked him to sign up for the Texas 70.3 in 2011. He ended up taking first in his AG and from there the love of the sport took hold, twice qualifying for 70.3 worlds and once for Kona. In 2013 Todd quite his engineering job to race professionally. A rock climbing accident in 2014 forced him back to engineering but his love for the sport never died. He continued to coach and began AG racing again in 2016. After a long road to recovery he had a comeback season in 2018, qualifying for 2019 Nice 70.3 Worlds and 2019 Kona.

Looking back at his injury and recovery gives Todd a unique perspective/outlook on the sport and how to stay motivated even when things look bleak. He believes that helping athletes focus on the often overlooked recovery, preventative maintenance, yoga, and other "soft" skills will significantly improve their triathlon performance and help them reach their goals.
