Coach Heather Jorris

Heather has been in the fitness industry in various capacities for over 30 years. She has numerous personal athletic achievements and a strong passion for fitness, coaching and training. Heather competed as a Professional triathlete from 1998-2007 after the birth of her first son. Heather has been on the podium two times at the Hawaii Ironman World Championships, once as Age Group Champion. She has qualified and competed in the Hawaii World Championships 8 times, twice placing among the top 25 overall females as well as placing Top 10 overall in the Pro Female Category in numerous International Ironman and Half Ironman competitions. Heather graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science. Heather swam on The Varsity Swim Team at Penn State and ran for a year on The Varsity Cross-country Team. Upon graduation, Hawaii was home to Heather for 10 years. In Honolulu, Heather was a Personal Trainer, Fitness Center Director, Personal Training Director, Triathlon and Marathon Coach, and Group Exercise Director for the largest fitness club in Hawaii. Heather also worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Honolulu and grew triathlon and marathon training groups prior to relocating to Pennsylvania with her family in August 2001. In Pennsylvania, Heather led four seasons as Head Coach of the 360 member Lower Makefield Township Swim and Dive Team and was an assistant coach for 3 seasons prior to that. Heather’s other swim coaching experience includes Head Coach of The TriHampton YMCA/USA Age Groups Swim Team and coaching age group USA Swimming for the Pennsbury Aquatic Club, The Woodlands Swim Team, Swim Streamline of Northhampton and coaching a summer league team in Northern Virginia. Heather coached Masters swimmers in Honolulu and at the Newtown Athletic Club in Pennsylvania and currently coaches Masters at Villa Sport and The Woodlands Masters Swim Team. Heather has directed and coached triathlon/cycling/ run training programs for over 20 years and developed and directed an annual sold out power based winter indoor cycling program for Guys Bicyles and PowerTap. Heather is the mother of two boys and relocated toThe Woodlands, TX in 2012. Working with individuals of all fitness levels and ages is Heather’s true passion She is highly motivated to teach others the skills, discipline, balance, fun and fitness that endurance sports offer!
