Congratulations to Shannon Butkus. Shannon raced Ireland 70.3 in the city of Galway. What started as a typical bitter morning in Ireland was added to by the choppy waters. Event organizers shortened the swim for athletes safety. Shannon pressed on with a 49:59 swim, 4:12:12 bike and 2:44:57 run crossing the finish in 8:04:20!!! Great job, Shannon!

PR for Stacy Bladrige at Kaua'i Half Marathon

Congrats to Stacy Baldrige on her PR at the Kaua'i Half Marathon. This is the second year for Stacy to participate in this event. She PR'd this race by 28 minutes!!!!! Finishing in 2:21:40. She also bettered her half marathon time by 8 minutes from her Woodlands Half Marathon time back in March! Way to go, Stacy!

Triny Aguirre and Kristine Anthony all smiles at Summertime Blues Sprint

Congrats to Triny Aguirre and Kristine Anthony on their races at the Summertime Blues Sprint Tri in Freeport this past weekend. Triny raced as elite for the first time and did quite well.  Triny crossed the finish line in 1:21:10 bringing home some hardware and Kristine hit the mark in 2:09:16. Fantastic job, ladies!!!

Michelle LeBlanc and Sarah Gray buckle down at Hy-Vee 5150 Championship

Congratulations to Coach Michelle LeBlanc on her FIRST place finish in the elite amature AG at the Hy-Vee 5150 Championships!! After coming out 15th in the swim, 23:08 she picked off the leaders to surpsass Christina Jackson for the lead during the bike portion. Michelle flew to a 1:02:00 on the bike and a tremendously speedy 39:28 on the run for the push to victory crossing the finish at 2:07:17. In addition to her hardware and prize purse money, Michelle scored a CAR... a Mini Cooper to be exact! Well done and fantastic racing, Coach. Next up for Michelle is the Kona, World Championships. 

Kudos to Coach Sarah Gray as well! In a VERY tough field of competitors and a late start time, Sarah pushed through to the finish in 2:20:52. Despite hot conditions Sarah surged the swim in 21:57, biked 1:10:40 and gutted out a 46:16 run. What determination and perseverance! Pro till the end! Great job, Sarah! Congratulations.
