The Formula Run Ethiopia

The Formula Run Ethiopia is a charity run helping to provide Baby Formula for infants in need in Africa. The run will be held on Saturday, March 19th beginning and ending at Barbara Bush Elementary located at 7420 Crownridge Drive in the Woodlands.Proceeds will go directly to helping feed those less fortunate. You may early register for the race here,www.intothestreetsofethiopia.com, or you may register the morning of the race from 7 am to 7:45am.Race registration is $12, the cost of one can of baby formula, per participant. Also, you may purchase a t-shirt for $30 online or at the race. Please understand that all registrations are final.
Please join us for awards, coffee, and a Chick fila breakfast following the race!
Children's 1 Mile Run will begin at 8 am.
All children under the age of 12 are welcome to participate. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 boys and top 3 girls.
FormulaRunEthiopia 5k will begin at 8:15 am.
All are invited to run or walk this race. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females.

Run Away with My Heart 5-Miler: Blake, Melissa, and Jonathan

Blake Henning, Melissa Rothe, and Jonathan Knapp all raced the "Run Away with My Heart 5-Miler" in the Woodlands last weekend.
As usual, these three athletes had fast races. finished second in his age-group with a time of 39:02, or 7:50 min/mile pace. finished fourth overall female and first in her age-group with a time of 36:24, or 7:17 min/mile pace. finished third in his age-group with a time 36:22, or 7:16 min/mile pace.
Blake is training for IMTX and Melissa is training for the Memorial Hermann Half Ironman. Great running everyone!

New Orleans Marathon: Cathy Steele and Christi Moore


Christi Moore and Cathy Steele (pictured above with friend Allison) trained hard and smart for the New Orleans Marathon this last weekend. Both ladies set personal bests!
came through the half marathon in 1:55 and finished with a total time of 3:53:05, or 8:54 min/mile pace.
came through the half in 1:57 and finished with a total time of 3:58:00, or 9:05 min/mile pace. This fast finishing time qualifies Cathy to run in the Boston Marathon next year! Woohoo!!
Next up for Christi is the Memorial Hermann Half Ironman. Cathy is racing the Dallas Half Marathon in March. Congratulations ladies!
